Shawnjeet "Shawn" Saini, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist, board eligible in interventional pain management, and accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). He currently provides compassionate and effective care at Integrated Pain Consultants, with offices in Scottsdale, Mesa, and Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Saini’s training and career began with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, followed by a master's degree in biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, graduating magna cum laude.
Dr. Saini then received his Doctor of Medicine from George Washington University in Washington, DC. He then completed his residency in anesthesiology at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Saini attended the University of Texas at San Antonio for his interventional pain management fellowship, where he received advanced clinical and procedural training in treating the spine, peripheral joints, and other causes of chronic pain.
Based on his advanced training in biotechnology and anesthesiology, Dr. Saini believes that the intersection of technology and medicine is the future for treating chronic pain disorders. He is keenly interested in neuromodulation through spinal cord stimulation to address patient pain.
Dr. Saini also understands pain can be both a physical and emotional experience unique to each patient and works diligently to understand the underlying cause and develop a treatment plan tailored for each patient.
In his spare time, Dr. Saini enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing sports (he’s a die-hard Packers fan). You will most likely find Dr. Saini watching the Packers games with his family of “cheeseheads” during the season.
