Shawnjeet “Shawn” Saini, MD is a board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain management physician, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). He provides compassionate, patient-centered care at Integrated Pain Consultants, serving patients across Scottsdale, Mesa, and Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Saini’s academic and professional journey began with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, followed by a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University, where he graduated magna cum laude. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from George Washington University and subsequently completed his residency in anesthesiology at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Saini then pursued advanced subspecialty training through an interventional pain management fellowship at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he gained expertise in treating complex pain conditions affecting the spine, peripheral joints, and other sources of chronic pain.
With a strong foundation in both biotechnology and anesthesiology, Dr. Saini is particularly interested in the intersection of technology and medicine in advancing pain management. He specializes in neuromodulation techniques, including spinal cord stimulation, as well as minimally invasive spinal spacers and lumbar decompression procedures, offering innovative solutions for chronic pain. Recognizing that pain is both a physical and emotional experience unique to each patient, he takes a comprehensive and individualized approach to treatment, striving to address the root cause of pain and improve quality of life.
Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Saini enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing sports. As a devoted Green Bay Packers fan, he can often be found watching games with his fellow “cheeseheads” during football season.
